"Lomsky wrote the song’s icy, The Edge-esque jangle of a riff; Fahr and Trowbridge added the song’s dark, pulsing groove”

WHO WE ARE

Sound the Alarm...wake up from the dream!  It's a call to consciousness for these four musicians from Bend, Oregon. Vocalist Michael Divita and guitarist Mikel Lomsky grew up together and always worked towards forming a band to express their musical prowess, as well as their take on the world.  The current form of that is Alarm 58, formed with drummer Caleb Trowbridge and bassist John Fahr.  It's serendipity that has brought them all together at this point in time...a tumultuous time politically, socailly and existentially.

Their music is meant to provoke thought, questioning, and examination of a society that can lull you into subconsciousness with bright and shiny leaders and offerings for all the senses.  Divita and Lomsky grew up listening to U2 and it is certainly an influence on the band's sound: soraring guitar riffs with military driving drum force and enveloping bass lines.  The fabric of the sound comes from a desire to pronounce the individual notes within a chord in a echoing delay repetition.

Lead singer Divita possesses a unique voice with heartbreaking tinges of Eddie Vedder and Jim Morrison, and his songwriting resembles storytellers like Bruce Springsteen.  The most distinctive quality of Alarm 58 is the ascendant layered guitar contrasted with the heartfelt baritone vocals of Divita.  Alarm 58 are taking their unique and driving music and message to the people  across the country to sound that alarm as far and wide as possible.
